Christmas party

Dear members

I regret to inform you that this year’s Christmas party has been cancelled due to the continuing COVID 19 crisis.

I do hope that next year will be so much better!

Return to sailing

The latest advice from Government and the ISA is that training can recommence for pods of up to 15 on Monday May 10th and formal racing on Monday June 7th. Accordingly we will begin practice racing for keelboats on Tuesday May 18th for three weeks. Please note that this is practice only and whilst results will be calculated there will be no prizes and the practice races will not count towards the Sailor of the Year award. Series 2 of our formal racing will commence on Tuesday June 8th. It will be a 4 races series only with one discard if all races are completed. A formal amendment to the SIs will appear shortly.

Dinghy training will also commence shortly and further details will be available from the dinghy secretary and class captains.

Congratulations to Paddy Cunnane – winner of the Laser Standard at the 2020 Munsters. It was a great event for the whole family with Ellie winning the Ladies Radial event and Stephen finishing fifth overall in the Radial division.
