Return to sailing

The ISA has published its guidance on a return to sailing. If all goes to plan with the Government’s scheme the following dates will apply

May 18th: SInglehanders and family crewed boats may take to the water provided all crew live within 5km of TBSC

June 8th: As above but the distance is increased to 20km.

June 29th: We can resume dinghy sailing in singlehanders and family crewed boats

July 20th: Cruiser racing can resume.

August 10th: Regattas and interclub events may resume

All of the above are subject to the lockdown being lifted as planned and the ISA is also looking for guidance on social distancing during Sailing

Stay safe and keep your distance!

 WIORA & Mermaids

Hello all members

WIORA has been deferred until late September. The amended Notice of race is on the events page. I do hope that it will be a great and memorable event and that we will have a fantastic end to the season in TBSC

At the moment we are confident of running the Mermaid Nationals on the original dates (Aug 19th to the 22nd).

The boats have a helm and 2 crew with a main sail, jib and spinnaker. The Olympic racing course is most commonly used at Championship level racing events and the class gets great levels of turnouts with a minimum of 20-30 boats always competing at the National Championship event.
